In 2021, EpiHerd was born from a discussion at a farm coffee table, where it was evident that the solutions back then were inadequate. Farmers had put great effort into animals inheriting the best genes, but the results were varying for unknown reasons. At the same time, RNA-testing became more researched, and it started to give us answers to how our surroundings affect how genes are turned on or off. It also gave us answers to why animals with the best possible genes did not perform up to their potential.

Antler Bio exists to do something simple and something enormous at the same time: to make sure that every dairy farmer in the world has access to the clearest, most honest biological data available, and knows exactly what to do with it. EpiHerd is how we deliver on that today. What comes next is bigger still. Healthier animals, stronger farms, better science. We are only just getting started.
